Many people think that because they have their driver's license that go-karts will be easy. But what they don't know is that mastering go-karts is harder than it looks. Whether you are coming to Fort Fun for a birthday party, a corporate event, or for a celebration, you will want to have an advantage over your competitors. Nobody will expect you to dominate the racetrack, but just how do you do it?

1.

Keep Your Hands On The Wheel

This is important, because without proper control of the steering wheel, you will lose control and could end up losing the race. So, always keep your hands at 10 and 2.

2.

Try Different Techniques

The first lap is a practice lap — take the turns at different speeds and at different angles; watch your friends to see if they’re doing something that works; and figure out what works and what doesn’t.

3.

Stay on Target

Drive straight, as much as possible. Driving straight will get you where you need to be faster, so keep it that way as much as possible.

4.

Practice

None of these tips will click immediately, which means that you need to keep coming back so you can practice your technique and sharpen your skill. Remember that everyone starts somewhere, but there is always room for improvement.

If you have a need for speed, Fort Fun has you covered.
