Frequently Asked Questions

General FAQ

Fort Fun is OPEN YEAR ROUND!!  All events are open weather and mechanical conditions permitting.  Some activities are seasonal.  Winter hours may vary.  Please see the hours and locations page. 
There is no admission fee.  Each activity has its own price, or we have play packages available for purchase.

Adults not playing are welcome to find a comfortable seat in Auntie Stone’s Kitchen, or out on the patio.  WI-FI is available.  Play for 30 minutes, or play all day! 

Fort Fun’s Indoor activities include:

  • Multi-level Laser Tag arena, Bumper Cars, Video Arcade Games, Air Hockey, and the Outpost Shooting Gallery (located in its own building).

Fort Fun’s Year-Round outside activities include:

  • 2 18-hole Mini-Golf courses, Giant Slide, and Go-Karts

Fort Fun’s seasonal activities include:

  • Summer/Fall: Batting Cages remain open (closed in inclement weather)
    Summer: Paddle Boats, Bumper Boats, and B’loon Blast
    Summer Saturdays and special events: Adventure Train
    Winter: Outdoor Ice Skating, as weather permits (generally weekends Nov.-Feb.)
As Fort Fun strives to provide a safe and fun environment for kids of all ages, we do have some restrictions.

  • Go-Karts:
    General Guidelines:    Long hair must be tied up
    No flip flops or loose fitting shoes on the Go-Kart track
  • Age/Size:
    Drivers must be at least 10 years old and 54” to drive independently.  Younger children (must be at least 3 years old) can ride with a paying adult licensed driver in a double seated Kart at no charge.
    (Younger drivers who have their Go-Kart Driver’s Permit can drive at the discretion of the Go-Kart attendants.)
  • Riders:
    Must be old enough and large enough to be securely fastened in seat belts— discretion of parent is involved.
  • Bumper Cars: Must be 44” tall to drive (one person per car only)
  • Bumper Boats: Must be 44” tall to ride.  Weight limit 275 lbs.
  • Batting Cages: Helmet required; one person at a time.

Fort Fun has eight outdoor batting cages.  We offer baseball in slow, medium and fast speed pitches.

We also offer softball in slow and fast pitch.  Only one person in the cage at a time.  Instructions/adjustments from a parent or a coach should be made verbally, or in between token use.  Helmets are required.

Helmets and/or bats are available for use at no charge.

Our Laser Tag Arena is open to the public during our regular business hours and cannot be reserved.  If you are interested in an exclusive Laser Tag event call our Event Coordinators at 970-472-8000 or email us at havefun@fortfun.biz.

Fort Fun does sell gift cards! You can purchase them in person during regular business hours or call 970.472.8000. If you live out of town or would just like to have your card mailed our friendly staff is happy to mail them for you.

Party FAQ

You are welcome to come and play at Fort Fun with as few or as many friends and family members you would like.  However, if you would like to take advantage of our birthday package pricing and service, advance reservations are required.
Our Event Coordinators are also ready to help you with scheduling your birthday event.  Give us a call at 970-472-8000 or email HaveFun@fortfun.biz to discuss party details and to make your reservation.
A minimum of 8 guests is required to reserve a party.
A $50 deposit is due at the time of booking.  Parties that cancel after the confirmation date and time, or become a no-show, forfeit their deposit. If a party needs to be rescheduled due to illness, please contact our Event Coordinators at 970-472-8000.
Confirmation calls are placed a few days prior to your party; feel free to call Fort Fun at any time to confirm as well. Cancellations received AFTER the confirmation call will forfeit deposit.
All of our party packages include one hour of hosted table time (tables seat 10-12), table settings, pizzas according to your guest count, 2 beverages in pitchers, and ice cream sandwiches.  The party packages vary based on the amount of play.
You can reserve a second table in our restaurant area for an additional $10, or you can upgrade to a private party room overlooking Blue Heron Lake for an additional $15.  A group of any size is welcome to choose a party room upgrade.  The party room provides more space for your guests, additional seating for adults who are staying, a way to keep younger guests together, or a more private party experience.
Normally, we schedule your party time first with your play time following.  If  you would prefer to play first and then eat please let our Event Coordinator know at the time of your reservation.
The function of a Party Host is to serve and assist you for a great party experience on your child’s special day.  The party packages include the Party Host for one hour.  The Host will serve the pizza, drink, and dessert, provide you with your play selection and explanation, and close out your party.  If you think you would like help with your party during the play time, please discuss this with your Event Coordinator.
Fort Fun does allows birthday cakes ONLY, with a signed food release on arrival. Otherwise, Fort Fun does not allow outside food or drink. Also, Fort Fun does NOT provide cake storage.
Fort Fun would be happy to offer you goody bags, balloons, party cubes, Fort Fun T-shirts and other extras for an additional charge per guest.  You are, however, welcome to bring in extras to help make your birthday party even more special.  Please notify our Event Coordinators of your wishes.
Party packages are made for the entire party.  If, however, you have any special needs or concerns, please discuss these with your Event Coordinator.
Acceptable forms of payment for a party include:  Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
You can personalize your party with any or all of the following:

Goody Bags: $ 2.50 each
Personalized Fort Fun T-Shirt $ 5.00 each
(fabric markers provided for guest signatures)
Party Cube (Pinatas with strings) $ 5.00 and up

Food FAQ

No, Fort Fun does not allow outside food or drink.
Beer can only be enjoyed in Auntie Stone’s Kitchen or on the patio area just outside of the kitchen.  Beer is not allowed on the Mini-Golf courses, at the Go-Kart Track, or inside the facility anywhere other than the restaurant area.
Our tables in Auntie Stone’s Kitchen and outside on the patio area are available only on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Please contact our offices before coming to Fort Fun if you are worried about possible food allergies.  We do our best to accommodate all of our guests.
Fort Fun does offer food package add-ons to group play starting at $4.00 per person.  Food options outside our regular menu are available.  Please contact our Event Coordinators via email or call us at 970-472-8000 for further options and pricing.

Group FAQ

Groups of 10 or more people qualify for discounted rates.  Discounts vary based on group size and desired activities.  Group rates require advanced notice and one payment for the whole group.  Rates quoted for play are per person and valid only on the day of the group event.
Any group of 10 or more people can qualify for a group rate.  Daycares, school groups, sports or academic teams, scouts, church youth groups, small work teams, large corporations, celebrations for important personal events, individuals, and any other group can qualify for a group rate.
Groups can schedule any type of play for their group.  Group rates are available for individual activities or for 2-hour, 4-hour, or  Time Plays with or without Go-Karts.
Fort Fun prides itself on being able to adapt to any function.  We are happy to have you join us whether you are a daycare class playing Mini-Golf, or a business celebrating the holidays with a few hours of play and an open bar.  From simple gatherings to corporate holiday parties we can plan a unique event just for you.  If you want something special that you don’t see on our website, contact us!!  We love to personalize events so that you and yours have a memorable event at Fort Fun!

Fort Fun is open year round.  During our regular business hours we are not able to offer the facility for private use.  Depending on your event, exclusive use is available before or after our regular business hours.  In addition, in the months of November thru February we have exclusive use available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  Please contact us for additional information. 
The group is responsible for either the minimum required or the confirmed guest count, whichever is more.
Fort Fun does offer food package add-ons to your play starting at $4.00 per person.
One payment in the form of one pre-approved check, cash, or one credit card (we accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover).  Full balance is due the day of the event unless other arrangements are made at time of confirmation.
